CMC Tuning and Servicing

Many performance hatches that we deal with are between five and ten years old. This means that they'll have outlived their manufacturers warranty and free servicing period and are in the hands of their owner. You may look after your car, regularly change the fluids, check tyre pressures and treads, heck, you might even wait for the temperature gauge needles to lift their heads before you partake in some spirited driving down your favourite B-road. If this is you, well done.

But the person who owned your pride and joy before you may not have been as diligent as you. He might have ragged it from a cold start and never serviced the car.

Either way, an older car is bound to lose a few BHP over the years. Some say 1 BHP a year. We've never seen proof of this although it sounds about right. Either way, all is not lost. By giving the car a bit of a tune-up, we can bring some of that showroom glory back to the performance of your car. This can include anything, from spark plug replacement, changing the air filter (or even upgrading to one of our performance items), fuel filter, performing an oil change (we normally use Fully Synthetic motor oil if you'd like us to) and replacing the all important oil filter unit. We'll even change faulty bulbs that will cause an MOT failure, we're here to help.

You could delve deeper by giving the engine a full service, flushing the fuel, coolant and oil system, or undertaking engine head work.

Pre-MOT checks

If your MOT is coming up, we can also help you prepare you car for that dreaded test. We'll check your tyre treads, bulbs, emissions, brakes, steering, etc.

Please note that we're not able to actually test your car for it's MOT, just check it over for you. For the pre-MOT testing we charge a standard fee of £20 per car. Of course, this doesn't include any replacement parts!
