CMC Tuning can now offer engine management tuning (otherwise known as remapping or chiptuning) in our own workshop in Hereford, in association with Viezu Technologies and Martin Althorp. When a car is built in the factory it is only released with 80-90% of its full, safe power potential. A remap will calibrate the standard software on your car to unleash the remaining "hidden" potential - often between 10-30% - whilst ensuring the upgrade is within the capabilities of a stock engine. Viezu remap is available for most modern makes and models of car and will offer improved power and torque, sharper throttle response, whilst smoothing out "flat spots" throughout the RPM range. We can encourage more torque at low RPM - ideal for SUVs/small commercial vehicles & vans for towing trailers. Meanwhile you can expect to receive far better fuel economy (normally around a 15% improvement on turbo diesel models - this means a Viezu remap can pay for itself over time). Our remaps are custom designed to suit the needs of the individual car and driver, offering performance, economy, or a "blend" of both.
A remap will improve the performance and driveability in any car from a 1.1 petrol to a V10 TDI, with the most noticable power/torque improvements being in turbocharged/supercharged petrol and diesel engines, and six or eight cylinder normally aspirated petrol engines.
When paired with our other upgrades such as a performance exhausts, air filters, spark plugs and intercoolers you can expect a noticably more enjoyable driving experience along with added performance.
We can also offer speed limiter installation or total removal, DPF and 02 sensor delete (very useful for cars running decat exhaust systems etc) when enhancing data on your ECU. We also undertake "bench tuning" (ECU removal, opening & the old fashioned "chiptuning"). CMC Tuning can also offer a rolling road service in order to test your vehicles outgoing performance. This is especially useful when tuning a car, to see exactly the gains any performance engine enhancements have had on the engine.
We have acquired the use of a 900bhp 2WD (front or rear wheel drive vehicles only) state of the art rolling road facility available for any 2WD road, race and rally cars, as well as karts and "open-wheel" racecars. We welcome motorsport teams, motor clubs and dyno days, and can offer discounts for multiple cars (5+).
