Upgrading the air induction system on a car is one of the most popular upgrades in the tuning world. A panel filter (33 series) simply replaces the standard manufacturer air filter in your airbox. A cone filter (57 series) generally replaces the airbox altogether with a cone or cylindrical shaped filter made from material which allows the engine to breathe in air much more freely and efficiently. By putting a high performance air filter in your car you will notice a small performance increase as well as a smoother running engine. If you use a cold air feed and/or an enclosed heat shield for your cone filter, you'll gain more efficiency by providing the air intake with cool air, plus you'll get a nice throaty induction roar under acceleration. These are ideal upgrades when combined with a performance stainless steel exhaust system and remap. We've got K&N performance filters on both our Megane 225 and Saxo project cars.
We have tried ITG, Green and Pipercross air filters, but we generally feel that K&N produce the best performing air filters for the money.
Panel filters range from around £35 upwards, and cone filters are generally anywhere above £60. Contact us for our price to supply and fit a K&N air filter to your car.
